UNESCO means the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural &Organization. UNESCO is the work to create conditions for dialogue betweencivilizations, cultures and people, based on respect for the values ​​shared by all.Through this dialogue, the world can achieve a global vision of sustainable development which includes the observance of human rights, mutual respect and the eradication of poverty, all located in the heart of UNESCO's mission and activities.

As early as 1942, in wartime, governments of countries of Europe, faced by Nazi Germany and its allies, met in the United Kingdom for the Conference of Allied Ministers of Education. Second World War is far from over, but the countries are looking for ways and means to rebuild the education system as soon as peace is restored. Quickly, the project gained momentum and soon took the global notes. New governments, including the United States (U.S.), decided to join.




GOAL

Broad goals and concrete objectives of the international community - as stated inthe agreed development goals at the international level, including the MillenniumDevelopment Goals (MDGs) - to support the strategies and activities of allUNESCO. Thus, the unique competencies of UNESCO in education, science, culture and communication and information contribute to the realization of these goals.
